Any mood of merrymaking is partial without the lip smacking perfectly cooked food and mellow drinks. We all are existing to eat, without full tummy nobody can win any sort of battle. Either on the name of quint essential daily energy or for satisfying the taste buds from extreme flavors of far distant exotic tastes for assorted palate not only humans every living being needs food. Cherry on the top, gravity multiplies from basic bread to exquisite cuisines when some occasion link to it. So in mid of the festive mood when we got the exclusive media invite for the pre-launch party of Era-Bar and Lounge we couldn’t decline. It is one of the dynamic place we have visited recently located in core of the city i.e. our happening Connaught Place.
Its interior is indeed the most attractive and eye-catching factor as the joint is based on the concept of Pre-Industrialization and historical exploration. By the entrance which starts with a view of large vintage clock sitting on the top of the wooden framed glass door and perfectly placed little cannon inside certainly drags you in early 18th century British Colonial era. Complete area was illuminating by fairy lights that made us to easily locate the place immediate after the parking. Once we stepped in, we found a big lounge area in the inner side and my favorite section of the place was on the right side- The BAR. And the most fascinated thing about it is while enjoying your drink you can take look of the vintage artifacts that were placed behind the glass panels of the bar.The long bar station was also equipped with supreme drinks which is must be required to attract high quality crowd.
The seating arrangement was the combination of wooden and comfy furniture with adequate placement and position to provide both comfort and looks to the whole place. At the end of the long stretch just at the end of the sitting area was the DJ hub and to be very honest he was playing foot tapping music that kept the audience entertained. Over and above that area, disco lights were creating magic that pumped in some extra adrenaline to shake our bodies and just when I thought to settle down on a couch I got curious with the curved stair case that leads me to the first floor which was again a perfect space for chilling out with friends and for youngsters. Some fascinated theme based paintings were making the surrounding more attractive.
After having a tour of this place now it was the time to knock down our elevated hunger so we sat next to the bar and were served with Mushroom Galouti Kabaab along with a glass of Red wine for her and Beer for me. Frankly, that feeling is incomparable when you have a chilled beer mug in your hand and mouth melting delicious kabaabs to eat with. I like the innovative presentation of Thai Spring rolls on our table. I really like the concept where a wooden trolley equipped with shot glasses of tequila contain the crunchy rolls with red hot tangy spicy sauce, it tastes really good. We have tasted ( sharing portions with others) couple of other delights like Butter garlic Prawns , Penne Arrabiata Pasta tossed in olives but one thing which never came up even after several reminders was Veg Pizza or any of the filling meal. It was quite disappointing that we had to wrap up our night after waiting for more than an hour for full meal beside finger food and because of the poor service which made us move from there with half empty stomach.
As this was the launch party for the bloggers, week before opening to the actual crowd and that’s why our view on the Service by the staff was not upto the mark, hope they break the trend in the future. There were quit a few delays in order and more over the staff was not trained enough to handle such crowd as some of them has dropped the drinks while serving.
Looking for their best performance and improvement in the future.
